Fire Station
Every year Josh takes off on the day of Jackson's birthday if it falls on a workday and we take him to do something special just for him. In years past we've done things like go to the zoo. This year we took Jackson to the Bentonville Fire Station. He was thrilled to see the big trucks, hoses, and equipment that the firemen use. It was really neat to have a tour by a real fireman. If you ever are looking for something to do with the kids I recommend this tour. It is free and Jackson talked about it for days. Here are a few pics.
This was the old fire dept sign that is now in a rec room. I thought it was kind of neat.
Here is Jackson standing on one of the big fire trucks.
Here is Jackson in his new fireman hat and daddy. They gave the hat, a coloring book, and a goody bag as a gift at the end of the tour.
This was an old fire truck that had been refurbished. It sits in the lobby and was really neat.
I couldn't get Jackson to look at the camera and smile because he was so excited about the big fire engine parked in front of him.
